It has taken me longer than usual, but I finally finished the science fiction figures I've been working on.
The main reason these figures have taken so long is that I undercoated them in grey instead of my usual black. This meant I needed to paint all the nooks and crannies, rather than being able to concentrate on the main areas. Still, the grey undercoat does make the figure brighter and allows lighter colours to be painted with fewer coats.
First up are the rest of my Heresy Inspector and Ship Crew figures. I thought I had posted pictures of the first of these figures, but it looks like I haven't. I guess I have a topic for a future post...

and a labourer on his tea-break.
There were a few other random figures in the group. The first was Signee (Ripley) from Hasslefree
Followed by a Studio McVey figure.
Finally, one of the few figures I've ever stripped and repainted. The first time I painted her was just after I'd switched from enamels to acrylics, and I was still learning how to handle them and getting used to the much larger range of colours available in acrylic. As a result, I was very unhappy with the colour scheme I chose and the quality of the final output, and I've always planned to repaint her.
When I was selecting figures, it seemed like the ideal opportunity, so I soaked her in Dettol (she has finally stopped smelling), gave her a new base and tried again. I am happier with this version, so hopefully I'll stop now.
The figure itself is a Reaper Chronoscope figure.
